The "Hong Kong Karate Open 2024," co-organized by the Youth Path Development Community Association and Flyover Kai Tak, took place on October 26-27, 2024, at Diamond Hill's Hollywood Plaza. The Hong Kong Sports Alliance participated as a supporting organization.

 

The two-day event attracted nearly 400 karate practitioners from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. The organizers invited several elite karate athletes from Hong Kong to showcase exciting karate combat performances, allowing the public to watch the matches and demonstrations up close, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with cheers for the competitors.

 

This year marked the second time the competition was held in a shopping mall, having first debuted there in 2023. It became the first karate competition to take place in a shopping center, continuing to transform the mall into a competitive stage. This initiative aims to promote and pass on the spirit of karate within the community, contributing to the popularization of the sport.
